Have a Liteon 163D player which has always played DVd's without a
problem using Power DVD 4. A recent purchase of "Chicago" plays OK up
to scene 12 at which time it hangs. The DVD plays OK on a player.
System is:

NF7S ver. 2 MB
1 meg of 3200 ddr, Mushkin
AMD Barton 2600 333 FSB at 400 FSB
Windows XP HE
The disc shows no defects or signs of rot.
Appreciate any input.

Do you get any sort of glitch at scene 12 in player? I suppose DVD ROM's are
way more sensitive when reading than players, as they must read data also.
Reading of movies is not that important, as one error means nothing, so it
just jumps over it. Did you try to run it with Nero's CD/DVD speed and
search for errors? It will show you if there are ones. If they are, replace
DVD.
