Default Axis 2100: How to sharpen pictures?

Any camera lens will have its sharpness ruined if it is not shaded or
'hooded' so as to prevent ambient light (and especially bright light)
falling across the face of the lens. Have you mounted the camera in good
shadow so as to avoid this problem or have you fashioned some kind of lens

Software can sharpen an image but it can't make a silk purse out of a sow's

We have an Axis 2100 which takes pictures from outside (near and far)
and we are a little bit disappointed about the pictures - they are not
so sharp...

Any tricks? Or any software to sharpen them "online" before uploading
to the FTP server?
